Okay, so the new Kings of Convenience singles (the album’s been out for three days and I don’t have it yet, boo hoo, i miss having a disposable CD buying income, boo hoo…) are so good.
This one, so good. “Mrs. Cold”

Gah, Erlend.

“You shoulda hooked me, before I put my raincoat on!”

so catchy.

I have to say, this is some major growth since their first album. Remember these lyrics?

“Failure is always the best way to learn.”

or

“Even though I’ll never need her, / even though she’s only giving me pain, / I’ll be on my knees to feed her / spend a day to make her smile again”

On my knees to feed her?! Get up off the floor, dude! That’s not only beyond corny, you just rhymed “her” with “her”.

Though I do dig that first album, you’re right, ‘Failure’ has some of the corniest lyrics around.

ha ha. “Get up off the floor, dude!
